The Barisal University Business Club held the final phase of the Battle of Stage 1.0 and the prize distribution ceremony on January 12th, 2023, at the Kirtankhola Hall of Barisal University. This was the first presentation competition organized by the club at the university.
The main judges for the final stage were – Md. Ibrahim Khalil Chowdhury (Area Manager of Unilever Bangladesh Limited) and Mehreen Afrin Kamal (Territory Manager of British American Tobacco). After a fierce competition, Team Ace emerged as the champion, with Team Phoenix as the runner-up, and Team Silver Stone as the second runner-up.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Barisal University’s Chief Vice Chancellor – Dr. Md. Sadekul Arefin, Treasurer – Dr. Md. Badruzzaman Bhuiyan, and the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies – Dr. Abdullah Al Masud. Associate Professor Dr. Tajizur Rahman, Associate Professor Abdul Alim, and Assistant Professor Shoilee Sumaiyaa were also present on behalf of the advisory panel.
During the ceremony, the honorable Treasurer, Dean of Business Studies Faculty, and Honorable Vice Chancellor gave inspiring speeches, after which the prizes were handed over to the winning teams. Each team that participated in the competition was also awarded a certificate by the club.
The executive members of the club were applauded for their initiative, and it was announced that the club would organize this annual program in the future, which will play an important role in the lives of the students, according to Iftekhar Ahmed, convener of the business club.
