East-West University’s Agro Industrialization Club hosted its annual intra-university sales-based case competition, “Sales Sprint 2023,” on April 15th. Out of forty-five participating teams, only the best six teams made it to the final round, which took place on the same day. The winning teams were “We Tried Few,” who were crowned champions, followed by “The Scanners” as the first runner-up and “The Trailblazers” as the second runner-up.
The competition was divided into four phases. The first two phases were workshops that covered the Sales and Retail industry and Case Solving Overview. The third and fourth phases consisted of Round 1 and the Final Round of case-solving, where all participating teams received “sales and retail problems related” cases through email.
Sales case competitions are becoming increasingly popular for sales professionals, as they challenge competitors to use their sales experience and creativity to solve real-world sales problems. The competition was judged by a panel of sales experts, including Arifur Rahman, Area Manager, Unilever Bangladesh Limited, and Aivan Hossain Kanon, Area Sales Manager, Arla Foods Bangladesh Limited.
Jamuna TV was the media partner of the event, and Drinko was the beverage partner. Brand Practitioners Bangladesh was the strategy partner, Business Inspection BD was the online media partner and Radio Carnival was the online radio partner. East West University Agro Industrialization club expressed their gratitude to all partners and the organizing team for their support and dedication, without which the event could not have happened smoothly and successfully.
Sales case competitions allow participants to develop their problem-solving skills, as well as their ability to think critically about sales-related issues. Competitions are also a great way for participants to network with like-minded sales professionals. The criteria used to evaluate solutions to a sales case competition can vary depending on the competition. Generally, teams are judged on their ability to identify and analyze the problem, develop a well-constructed solution, and present their solution in a clear and concise manner.
