Interactive Cares, a Dhaka-based educational technology startup, has hit the jackpot by securing a $100,000 grant from the prestigious Open Campus Accelerator program. The non-dilutive funding will turbocharge the company’s efforts to develop cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain solutions for employability training and career upskilling.
The Open Campus Accelerator, a highly competitive 6-week virtual program, handpicks innovative Edtech startups from around the world and provides them with funding, mentorship, resources, and invaluable networking opportunities.
As part of the accelerator’s fourth cohort, Interactive Cares underwent intensive workshops, peer collaboration, and coaching from industry experts, refining its product roadmap and growth strategies.
“We are honored to be selected for the OC accelerator and receive this $100,000 grant,” said Rare Al Samir, co-founder and CEO of Interactive Cares. “It provides crucial investment, mentorship, and global connections as we work to realize our vision of using AI and blockchain to create accredited, verifiable, and personalized workforce development solutions and programs.”
Launched in 2020, Interactive Cares has already amassed an impressive 300,000 registered learners on its platform, offering online courses across diverse career paths like web development and digital marketing, as well as test preparation for exams like the GRE and IELTS.
What sets the startup apart is its focus on creating employability by partnering with companies across sectors to facilitate placements for students from certain courses.
With over $700,000 in investments from notable investors such as Accelerating Asia, Flagship Ventures, and SuperCharger Ventures, Interactive Cares is now poised to leverage the Open Campus Accelerator grant to explore the transformative potential of AI and blockchain in the tech realm.
The company aims to harness distributed ledgers for enhancing credentialing and skills authentication while leveraging AI to personalize educational content and curricula.
As the world continues to scuffle with the rapid pace of technological change, Interactive Cares’ innovative solutions could prove invaluable in equipping learners with the skills and credentials they need to thrive in the workforce of the future.
