LifeSpring Concludes Countries’ Largest Mental Health Event – LifeSpring Well-being Summit 2023: Bridging Health Experts with the Masses
There has long been a stigma associated with mental health issues, and LifeSpring has emerged as a beacon of hope in a country where this issue has been shrouded in silence. LifeSpring, a pioneering community-based organization founded in 2017 by the collaborative effort of Yahia Amin and Dr. Sayedul Ashraf Kushal, is working towards changing the narrative. The organization has already impacted 2 million patients and 40 million more through offline and online initiatives, workshops, and courses.
On October 14, 2023, LifeSpring arranged the LifeSpring Well-being Summit 2023 with the theme ‘Family First’, held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka, and attracted over 2,000 attendees, including government officials, healthcare experts, and concerned citizens.
“LifeSpring is redefining healthcare with a patient-first approach,” says Yahia Amin, Lead Psychologist and Chairman of LifeSpring.
The summit fostered connections between industry leaders and the public, advocating for stronger family bonds, conflict resolution, and emotional support. Notable doctors, including Prof. Dr. ABM Abdullah, Dr. Pran Gopal Datta, and Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Nurunnahar Fatema Begum, received the prestigious “LifeSpring Life-savers’ Award” for their exceptional contributions to healthcare.
“The medical sector in Bangladesh is evolving, but there’s more to be done. Affordable healthcare for all is crucial,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Pran Gopal Datta.
Dr. Sayedul Ashraf Kushal, Lead Psychiatrist and Managing Director of LifeSpring, concluded his speech, by underscoring the importance of compassion and patience in supporting those with mental health challenges.
With events like ‘Family First,’ LifeSpring is reshaping the healthcare landscape in Bangladesh.
