Earth’s Ants Ushers in a New Chapter of Youth Environmental Leadership in Bangladesh

Earth’s Ants

Earth’s Ants, one of the most dynamic youth-led environmental organizations in Bangladesh, recently hosted its 2025 orientation program at the University of Dhaka—an event that went far beyond formal introductions. It served as a powerful reminder of how young leaders are stepping up to shape a more sustainable future for the nation.

The program commenced with an inspiring keynote by Md. Mirajul Islam, Founder and CEO of Earth’s Ants. He reflected on the organization’s journey—from a grassroots initiative led by passionate changemakers to a nationally recognized platform with international collaborations.

“Earth’s Ants started as a dream,” he shared. “Today, we’re not just an organization—we’re a movement, shaping a generation of conscious young environmental leaders.”

Milestones and Momentum

In his address, Mirajul Islam highlighted some of the organization’s defining achievements. These included the launch of Sustainovate Season 1.0, which brought together innovation and youth engagement around climate action, as well as international partnerships that helped amplify the voices of Bangladeshi youth on a global platform.

He also spoke about the organization’s recent involvement in the SMSC’25 conference, where Earth’s Ants collaborated on the CODE RED project, solidifying its growing influence in shaping policy-oriented environmental dialogue.

Building a Purpose-Driven Community

Following the keynote, new members of Earth’s Ants introduced themselves, sharing their personal motivations for joining. Their reasons varied, but the common thread was a deep commitment to making a tangible difference in the environment.

Leaders from within the organization also shared their experiences and insights. Md. Akib Ahmed Talukder, Head of Research & Publications, spoke on the power of knowledge to inspire action. Noshin Tanzim Othoi, Head of Marketing & PR, highlighted the need for emotionally resonant storytelling in climate communication.

Nuren Tasnim, General Secretary, reflected on her journey from a campus ambassador to a leadership role, crediting Earth’s Ants for fostering her personal growth. Adding a poetic close, Rafi Ahmed Fida, Treasurer, emphasized the symbolism behind the organization’s name—representing unity, discipline, and persistence in the fight to protect the planet.

Recognizing Excellence & Fostering Collaboration

The orientation also celebrated the achievements of exceptional team members through the Best Executive Award 2025. Three individuals were honored for their commitment and leadership, each receiving a commemorative crest and exclusive gifts from BoiBook, handed over by the CEO himself.

The success of the event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, including Cafeista, Fabrilife, and BoiBook, who provided refreshments, coupons, and gifts to make the program even more memorable.

Final Reflections

The event concluded with a lively group photo session, capturing the collective spirit, unity, and ambition of the attendees. More than just an introduction for new members, this was a celebration of purpose and potential—a renewed pledge to drive environmental change from the ground up.

As Business Inspection BD proudly supported the event as its official digital media partner, the orientation received broader exposure and visibility, helping to amplify the voice of young climate leaders across the country.

At a time when Bangladesh is facing pressing environmental challenges, Earth’s Ants is proving that sustainable transformation is possible when it begins with the passion and leadership of its youth.
