JCI Dhaka Founders has successfully hosted its 2026 General Membership Meeting (GMM 2) along with a landmark International Retreat in the Maldives, creating a milestone that has rarely been seen at chapter level within the JCI community. With around 50 members participating, the event stands as one of the boldest and most significant international chapter initiatives to date.
This achievement reflects the chapter’s growing ambition, unity, and commitment to creating world-class experiences for its members beyond conventional chapter activities.
The retreat was designed to strengthen member relationships, inspire leadership growth, create global exposure, and build a stronger network among members through a unique international platform.
The official segment featured GMM 2 in a breathtaking beachfront venue in the Maldives, where key discussions took place regarding chapter progress, future plans, member engagement, and leadership development.
Members also participated in a series of team-building and experience-driven activities throughout the retreat, creating unforgettable moments of connection, collaboration, and shared growth.
Afshana Rahman, Local President of JCI Dhaka Founders, said, “We wanted to challenge what is possible at chapter level and create something truly meaningful for our members. Hosting an international retreat of this scale in the Maldives was once a dream, and today it has become a proud reality.”
She further added, “This extraordinary achievement was made possible through the active support, dedication, and teamwork of Vice President Rifatul Haque, Director Fazle Rabbi, and many others who stepped forward to make it happen. We are sincerely grateful.”
The retreat was attended by Founding President M. Asif Rahman, Past President S M Mehedi Hasan, 2024 President Nahid Hassan, current board members, and general members, adding legacy, leadership, and inspiration to the gathering.
