Supershop Chain Meena Bazar to Adopt Franchise Model

Meena Bazar

Meena Bazar, a popular super shop chain in the country, has decided to adopt a franchise model to develop and expand its business. Under the franchise model, the first Meena Bazar outlet will be set up at Shanir Akhra of Dhaka South. Meena Bazar is the second super shop chain in the country to adopt a franchise model.

Previously in 2015, “Shwapno,” a concern of ACI Logistics, was planning to expand its business through a franchise model. Consequently, it became the country’s largest super shop chain, with more than 200 outlets all over Bangladesh.

On Sunday, 17th April, Engineer Abdul Mannan signed a deal with the supermarket chain at its head office in Dhaka at a signing ceremony. According to Meena Bazar officials, with the decline of the COVID-19 pandemic, the initiative has been taken to open Meena Bazar outlets in many more areas across the country. After the signing ceremony, Meena Bazar CEO Shaheen Khan’s told Dhaka Tribune: “After COVID-19, we will take such initiatives across the country. Countrywide expansion is something Meena Bazar will do with its funds, similarly with its franchise partners.”

As of now, anyone can become a partner of Meena Bazar by following the rules and regulations set by the supermarket chain.
