Every day, the streets of Dhaka are home to countless individuals who are abandoned, mentally unwell, physically challenged, or simply without anyone to care for them. While many pass by with sympathy or offer small financial help, few consider long-term rehabilitation and the profound impact of providing a stable future for these vulnerable individuals.
Apan Ghor Foundation, a remarkable organization, has taken on this responsibility with deep compassion and dedication. Since its inception in 2020, the foundation has rescued 152 abandoned individuals, provided treatment and rehabilitation to many, and successfully reunited 101 people with their families. Currently, 39 “Guests of Allah” remain under their care, receiving vital support, treatment, and dignity.
On March 13, 2025, members of JCI Dhaka Founders visited the Apan Ghor Foundation to share Iftar and dinner with the residents, as a gesture of love, solidarity, and community support. Just as they did last year, the JCI Dhaka Founders team also contributed financial support to assist the foundation’s efforts in continuing its noble mission.
In addition to providing financial aid, JCI Dhaka Founders is also offering technical support to help Apan Ghor Foundation develop a dedicated donation website. This digital platform will allow the foundation to collect donations more efficiently, increase transparency, and expand its capacity to serve more vulnerable individuals across Bangladesh.
The members of JCI Dhaka Founders are hopeful for the swift recovery and rehabilitation of all those under the care of Apan Ghor Foundation.
