Eid is a time of joy, celebration, and smiles—a time for families to come together and share in the festive spirit. However, for many families in remote areas, this happiness is not always within reach. Recognizing this, JCI Dhaka Founders set out on a heartfelt mission to bring the joy of Eid to those who need it the most.
Instead of focusing on the more accessible communities of central Dhaka, the team made a conscious decision to reach families in the remote villages of Dinajpur and Nilphamari, areas that often face significant struggles and limited access to the festive spirit of Eid.

The journey was far from easy. Overcoming long distances, logistical challenges, and the complexities of packaging, coordination, and transportation required meticulous planning and unwavering dedication. Under the leadership of Project Director Sultana Razia and with the full support of Saiful Islam Said, the Lightshore Network worked tirelessly to turn this heartfelt mission into a reality. The project also benefited from the generous logistical assistance of Green Grocery, whose support was instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the distribution.
Distribution Summary:
- Dinajpur: 70 families
- Nilphamari: 31 families
The stories from the field were moving and unforgettable. A mother quietly wiped her tears after receiving the Eid package, a child’s face lit up with joy, and families expressed deep gratitude for feeling seen and valued. These moments, filled with emotion and warmth, truly embodied the spirit of Eid. Even the smallest gestures of love can bring immense joy, lightening the burdens of those in need, even if just for one day.
This initiative was a collective effort. It was the love, generosity, contributions, and support of many that brought “Eid Happiness” to life, spreading joy to families who otherwise may not have experienced the festive season.
On behalf of JCI Dhaka Founders, we extend heartfelt Eid greetings to everyone. Let us continue to walk together on this beautiful journey of compassion, kindness, and community care, sharing love and joy with those who need it the most.
