Bangladesh Art Week, an initiative dedicated to promoting Bangladeshi art and culture globally, has officially launched its flagship exhibition, ‘Ora Egaro Jon’, in Dubai. The month-long exhibition kicked off on April 26 at Meta Garage, a luxury automotive showroom turned into an avant-garde art space.
This groundbreaking cultural initiative is being hosted in collaboration with Meta Garage and Meta Moina, bringing together innovation, artistry, and heritage under one roof.
Curated by Niharika Momtaz, founder of Bangladesh Art Week, and co-curated by Venus Hossein, the exhibition aims to highlight the artistic excellence of Bangladesh while empowering women in the creative sector. Strong Opening Reception
The exhibition’s opening day drew a large and diverse audience, with enthusiastic participation from both the local Bangladeshi community and international visitors. Among the notable guests was Said Nourine, Director of Alliance Française Dubai, who praised the initiative for bringing such a powerful cultural showcase to the UAE.
A Step Toward Women’s Empowerment
‘Ora Egaro Jon’ not only celebrates Bangladeshi art but also serves as a platform for women’s empowerment in the creative industry. By focusing on female artists, Bangladesh Art Week emphasizes the role of women in shaping the country’s cultural narrative.
As the exhibition continues throughout the month, it is expected to foster cultural exchange, generate interest in Bangladeshi creative talent, and establish new opportunities for global collaboration.
