Barishal, February 22, 2025 – Barishal University (BU) is set to host its first-ever national-level business case competition, “Battle of Stage 2.0”, bringing together some of the brightest young minds from universities across Bangladesh. Organized by the Barishal University Business Club (BUBC), the event aims to challenge participants with real-world business problems, fostering critical thinking, analytical abilities, and professional presentation skills.
Launch and Event Details
The competition was officially announced through a Facebook event on February 10, generating widespread enthusiasm among aspiring business leaders. The event will commence on February 20, 2025, with the first-round case release at 11:59 PM, followed by a week-long problem-solving phase concluding on February 26.
Strategic partner Marico Bangladesh has scheduled an exclusive case-cracking workshop at 8:00 PM on February 20 to guide participants in approaching business challenges effectively. Registration for the competition remains open until 11:58 PM on February 20, allowing undergraduate students from any university in Bangladesh to compete in teams of one to three members.
Competition Structure
The competition will take place in three stages:
- Preliminary Round: Each team will receive a business case and must submit their solutions within a strict deadline.
- Semi-Finals: Shortlisted teams will present their case solutions through Zoom or Google Meet.
- Grand Finale: The top-performing teams from previous rounds will face a new business challenge and present their strategic solutions before a distinguished panel of judges.
Participants will also benefit from expert-led case-solving workshops and webinar sessions, designed to enhance their strategic approach to business problems and prepare them for competitive success.
Prizes and Recognition
Winners of Battle of Stage 2.0 will be awarded:
- Champion: BDT 15,000 in cash
- 1st Runner-up: BDT 10,000 in cash
- 2nd Runner-up: BDT 5,000 in cash
- Additional trophies, certificates, and national media coverage
