The North South University Social Service Club (NSUSSC) is pleased to announce the forthcoming celebration of Boishakhi Mela, a traditional festival that marks the Bengali New Yeas and the arrival of the spring season. The event is scheduled to take place on May 8th at the playground of North South University. 

The Boishakhi Mela is an annual cultural extravaganza that showcases the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Bangladesh. This year’s event promises to be an extraordinary occasion with a variety of exciting and entertaining activities and events. 

The festival will commence with the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Professor Atiqul Islam, officiating the inauguration ceremony with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Bangladesh through an array of stalls set up by faculty members, departments, officials, and students. 

The stalls will feature a wide range of items including food and cultural artifacts. Additionally, a team of faculty members and students from Kolkata University, India will be joining the celebration to learn about the culture and heritage of Bangladesh and to showcase their own. 

“Our annual Boishakhi Mela celebration is a highly anticipated event that brings our community together to celebrate our rich cultural heritage. We are honored to welcome our guests from Kolkata University and look forward to a day filled with cultural exchange, delightful cuisine, and exciting entertainment,” says Mr. Meshbaul Hasan Chowdhury, the faculty advisor of NSUSSC. 

This event is open to the publish and NSUSSC invites everyone to come and join in the festivities. The Boishakhi Mela is an excellent opportunity to experience the vibrant and colorful culture of Bangladesh while enjoying delicious food and participating in exciting activities.
