The Hult Prize at KUET 2024 On-Campus Round Concluded Successfully

The Hult Prize is a prestigious global student competition that challenges participants to develop viable business ideas to tackle pressing social issues.

This year’s theme was “UNLIMITED,” requiring students to conceptualize profitable business models with significant global impact transforming into one or more sustainable yet profit-driven ventures aligned with one or more SDGs.

The Hult Prize at KUET 2024 On-Campus round, organized by the KUET Business and Entrepreneurship Club (KBEC), recently concluded its final round on February 29, 2024, at the Sheikh Jamal IT Park Auditorium.

The event was sponsored by Moner School, Tripify, and Infinitas Engineering, with Business Inspection BD and Business Standard serving as media partners.

After a rigorous selection process, six teams advanced to the final round: Team Aperture, The Rex, Black Sunrise, Team Jogakhichuri, Wicked Baltimore, and Agro Care.

These teams presented their innovative solutions to a panel of esteemed judges: Dr. Md. Noor Un Nabi (Professor, Business Administration Discipline, Khulna University), Fahim Islam Anik (Lecturer, Department of Mechanical Engineering, KUET), and Bushra Mehreen (Regional Head-Khulna, Grameenphone Ltd).

After evaluating the presentations, Team Aperture emerged as the winner of the Hult Prize at KUET 2024 On-Campus round, with Agro Care securing the runner-up position.

Both teams will now have the opportunity to represent KUET at the Hult Prize Summits and compete for the grand prize of 1 million US dollars.

The award ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder (Vice-Chancellor, KUET), Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Motin (DSW, KUET), and Md. Abu Shahid Chowdhury (Moderator, KBEC). They handed out awards and certificates to the winning teams and the 3 best volunteers. Followed by certificates of appreciation and recognition to all organizing committee members and volunteers.

Campus Director Tanjum Tahsin Niti, along with her team of organizers and volunteers from 2k19, 2k20, and 2k21 batches, played a crucial role in ensuring the success of this event.
