Us-Bangla Adds 2 New Aircraft

US-Bangla Airlines has added two Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet. The airline received delivery of the aircraft last Friday, 26 November 2021. The addition of the two new aircraft now makes the US-Bangla fleet size grow to 16 aircraft, which is the largest one by any private airline company in Bangladesh. Four Boeing aircraft were previously part of the airline’s fleet when it had 14 aircraft in total.

According to the airline, US-Bangla will start operating flights to Colombo, Sharjah, and Delhi routes soon. The company plans to acquire Airbus 330-200 aircraft to operate flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina in June next year. The airline also plans to expand their business in Sri Lanka. Recently the airline has started direct flights to Male, the capital of Maldives, as its tenth international destination.

Besides their international routes, US-Bangla currently operates flights on all domestic routes. Its international destinations include Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Guangzhou.

US-Bangla, a sister concern of the US-Bangla group, started its journey on 17 July 2014. Currently, US- Bangla Airlines is operating the maximum number of flights, transporting the maximum number of passengers which is about 50% of the total domestic market share.
