Walton Expand Research Center in South Korea

Walton, a leading Bangladeshi electronics and technology giant, established a Research and Innovation Center in South Korea.

A reputed South Korean design house and Walton have signed an agreement to jointly bring about groundbreaking improvements in the quality and design of electronics and technology products. The contract was signed Thursday in South Korea’s capital Seoul on June 2, 2022. According to the terms and conditions of the agreement, WALTON didn’t reveal the name of the Korean design house.

As part of the initiative, Golam Murshed, CEO and managing director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, recently took a South Korea tour. Along with him, Mohasin Sarder (Walton’s Head of Supply Chain), Aminul Islam (Head of Sourcing), Tofail Ahmed (Head of Walton Refrigerator’s R&I Centre) were present at the agreement-signing ceremony.

According to the authorities, Walton’s initiative is going to revolutionize product quality and design. Buyers in Bangladesh will have the opportunity to experience high-quality, designed products of international standards. Walton’s products will get greater exposure worldwide. These initiatives have the potential to contribute to the economic development of Bangladesh. Also it will help Walton to achieve its goal of becoming a global brand by 2030. 

In recent months, Walton acquired rights to more than 50 years old European electronics brands and their production plant and trademark, patent, design, and software licenses in 57 countries.
