BUP Organize “DEVTHON 3.0” Final Round & Award Ceremony

On October 26, 2022, the final round of “DEVTHON 3.0” and the ceremony for giving out awards took place at BUP’s Bijoy Auditorium. Dr. Shamsul Alam, who is an honorary state minister in the Ministry of Planning, was the chief guest at that event.

The “DEVTHON 3.0,” which started on October 16, 2022, was set up by the BUP Development Leaders’ Club. It was run by the Department of Development Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The goal of the competition was to get students to think creatively and take part in Bangladesh’s long-term growth.

In the case competition, 32 teams from some of Bangladesh’s best universities took part, and 14 teams made it to the first round. This year, a new part called “poster presentation” was added. Out of the 14 teams of the first round, 6 teams were able to make it to the final round.

During the case competition, the trophy went to Team Throb from Dhaka University. Team “Starfleet” from BUP came in second, and team “B2B” from IBA Dhaka University came in third. 

Following the poster presentation, Team “House Stark” of BUP won the contest. The second-place teams were “Equilibrium” from BUP, NSU, and Brac, and “Ulence,” also from BUP.

Dr. Shamsul Alam, who is an honorary state minister in the Ministry of Planning, was the main guest and gave the winners their prizes. BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, Ph.D., was there as the special guest. Dr. Binayak Sen, Director General of the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), was also there as the main discussion leader. Brigadier General Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, NDC, psc, Dean of FASS, was the Chief Patron. BUP Officers, Teachers, Students, and Invited Guests were also part of the program.
