TEDx Finally Returns To North South University After 5 Long Years

On October 27th, 2022, TEDx finally returned to North South University to inspire the thoughts of young students, intellectual leaders, genius academics, and future entrepreneurs after 5 long years. “Envisioning A Better Tomorrow” was the theme of the event, which was used as a medium to promote social change and present new ideas.

The event was held from 9 AM in the morning to 5 PM in the evening at North South University’s AUDI801. There were several prestigious guest speakers at the conference, all from a diverse range of industries, which included the likes of Sheikh Sabab Ahmed, Jon Kabir, Gulnahar Mahbub Monika, Bobby Hajjaj, Salman Muqtadir, Rafsan Sabab, Shafin Ahmed, Barrister Rashna Imam, Maria Mumu, Hussain M Elius, Munzereen Shahid, and Syed Tayabul Bashar. Students also had the opportunity to meet them in person and talk to them about their journey.

TED is a non-profit media organization that hosts talks all around the world with the intention of educating people about global issues. The organization began its journey in 1984 with the mission to spread ideas. Its slogan – “ideas worth spreading” – perfectly encapsulates the purpose of TED.

The conference showcased several TED Talks, the marque featurettes of TED events, with the goal of sparking groundbreaking new ideas, sharing heart-touching experiences, and inspiring others to build a brighter future for our country. The speakers at the event presented several different thoughts and concepts with the hope of starting a conversation among the different communities that represent the student body of North South University.
