Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka Founders has elected its new leadership team for 2026, with Afshana Rahman chosen as the chapter’s Local President (Elect). The election was held during the chapter’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and General Assembly 2025 at BRAC Centre Inn on 29 November, bringing together members and national leaders to confirm the executive body for the coming year.
Alongside President-Elect Afshana Rahman, the newly elected executive committee includes Rifatul Haque, Saiful Rahman, and Md Nafiul Hasan as vice-presidents. Amjad Shuvo has been elected Local Secretary General, while Masud Parvez Raju will serve as Local Treasurer. The 2026 committee will also include directors and local committee chairs who will lead next year’s projects, training programmes, social events, and member engagement initiatives.
Following the election, the chapter extended heartfelt congratulations to Afshana Rahman, highlighting confidence in her leadership and service-oriented vision. In a message shared with members, JCI Dhaka Founders noted that her commitment to leadership and community impact reflects the core values of the organisation and expressed optimism that 2026 will bring even greater achievements under her guidance.
Reflecting on the outgoing year, the chapter described 2025 as a landmark period that showcased the true strength of JCI Dhaka Founders through unity, teamwork, service, and meaningful social impact. Leaders credited the chapter’s accomplishments to the collective efforts of its members, acknowledging their passion, energy, and unwavering support throughout the year.
The organisation also expressed gratitude to key figures whose guidance helped strengthen the chapter, including Founding President M Asif Rahman, Local President S M Mehedi Hasan, Immediate Past Local President Nahid Hasan, and Mentor S. M. Belal Uddin. Their leadership and continued support were recognised as instrumental in sustaining the chapter’s progress and direction.
The AGM and General Assembly were attended by JCI Bangladesh National President 2025 Kazi Fahad, members of the national board, and Local Presidents from various Dhaka chapters. The chapter offered special appreciation to National President Kazi Fahad for attending the event and for his encouragement, noting that his presence added inspiration and value to the gathering. Visiting Local Presidents from other chapters were also thanked for joining the occasion and making the assembly more significant.
The chapter further acknowledged the contributions of Local Secretary General Saiful Rahman and the event organising team, praising their efforts in planning and delivering a successful General Assembly 2025 that members described as both well-organised and memorable.
JCI Dhaka Founders is a prominent local chapter of Junior Chamber International, a global non-profit network for young leaders aged 18 to 40. The chapter works actively in Bangladesh to promote leadership development, social service, and responsible citizenship, while providing members with platforms to create positive change in their communities.
