JCI Dhaka Founders has successfully concluded its flagship economic empowerment initiative — “Jeebikar Joy Jatra: Empowering Livelihoods, Transforming Lives.”
The program was designed not merely as a financial assistance drive but as a structured effort to help hardworking individuals become self-reliant through sustainable livelihood support and mentoring.
“Jeebikar Joy Jatra” focused on identifying capable individuals striving to overcome economic challenges and providing them with the means and guidance to build lasting sources of income. Through this approach, JCI Dhaka Founders has impacted multiple families — turning hope into opportunity and dependency into dignity.
A Rigorous and Thoughtful Selection Process
Unlike traditional charity programs, “Jeebikar Joy Jatra” employed a comprehensive verification process to ensure assistance reached the most deserving individuals — those with the skills, determination, and proven effort to improve their livelihoods.
The assessment prioritized:
- The individual’s history of hard work and perseverance
- Demonstrated skill or entrepreneurial capability
- Genuine motivation to uplift their family’s circumstances
- Commitment to sustainable, honest income generation
The meticulous selection process was led by Local Director Masud Parvez Raju, Local Vice President Nahray Jannat, and Strategic Planner Sultana Razia, with strong support from the entire JCI Dhaka Founders team.
Their approach ensured every selected participant was a “growth partner”, not just a recipient of aid.
Empowerment Rooted in Dignity and Respect
For JCI Dhaka Founders, empowerment goes beyond financial assistance — it is about restoring dignity and self-worth.
The organization emphasized treating participants as equal partners in progress. By referring to them as “growth partners,” JCI Dhaka Founders acknowledged their courage and contribution toward building a better life.
Real Impact, Real Change
Under the initiative, several families received livelihood-based assistance tailored to their skills and needs:
- A mother was provided with a sewing machine to start home-based tailoring.
- A family received support to expand their home-based food and product business.
- A small Islamic merchandise seller was empowered to grow his shop.
- A ride-share worker received funding to purchase a motorbike and resume earning for his family.

Each case represents a step toward sustainable economic independence, enabling long-term growth rather than temporary relief.
Recognizing the Leaders Behind the Mission
JCI Dhaka Founders extended heartfelt appreciation to all members who contributed to making the initiative a success.
Special acknowledgment goes to:
LP S M Mehedi Hasan, Founding President M Asif Rahman, IPLP Nahid Hasan Kaysar, SG Saiful Rahman, EVP Ashikul Islam Tamal, Treasurer Nafiul Hasan, VP Afshana Rahman, and VP Rifatul Haque—for their continued leadership and vision.
A special note of gratitude was also given to Local Director Masud Parvez Raju, Vice President Nahray Jannat, and Strategic Planner Sultana Razia, who spearheaded the on-ground execution with tireless dedication.

A Step Toward Sustainable Change
“Jeebikar Joy Jatra” reflects JCI Dhaka Founders’ belief that lasting change begins with empowerment, not charity.
By helping families earn with dignity, the organization reinforces JCI’s global mission—creating positive change through leadership, compassion, and collaboration.
As the initiative concludes, it stands as a powerful reminder:
“When you empower one family, you empower a future.”
JCI Dhaka Founders continues to work toward a Bangladesh where opportunities are created through vision, resilience, and community-driven action.
