The life of a teacher is rewarding, but often overwhelming. Behind every lesson taught in the classroom, there are hours of planning, grading, admin work, and emotional labor that rarely get noticed. As the global education system continues to evolve, one question remains at the center: who is building for the teachers?
That question led to the birth of Monsha—a new AI startup focused on easing the invisible workload of educators. And today, we’re proud to share a major milestone: Monsha has been accepted into the LAUNCH Accelerator in Silicon Valley, and raised $125,000 in pre-seed funding to accelerate our mission.
Backed by Silicon Valley’s Premier Early-Stage Investor
Joining the LAUNCH Accelerator gives Monsha direct access to one of the most powerful early-stage ecosystems in tech. The program is led by Jason Calacanis, a legendary investor who has backed more than 300 startups including Uber, Calm, Robinhood, Trello, and Superhuman.
“What stood out to us about LAUNCH was their long-term view on founders,” said Monsha’s co-founder Azmain Adel. “We’re here to learn, plug into their network, and get the support we need to raise future rounds and keep building for the long haul.”
With mentorship, capital, and connections from LAUNCH, Monsha is better positioned than ever to reshape how teachers work—starting with their most time-consuming tasks.
An AI Co-Pilot for the World’s Teachers
Monsha is building a smart, AI-powered platform that simplifies planning, resource creation, and everyday classroom tasks for educators. Our tools help teachers design courses, generate customized materials, prepare assessments, and create engaging presentations—all in minutes, not hours.
What makes Monsha different is its ability to learn from each user’s preferences, adapt to their teaching style, and integrate seamlessly into their existing workflow. Whether it’s a middle school science teacher in Boston or a high school English teacher in Dhaka, Monsha is built to support them with meaningful, personalized assistance.
“I saw my wife, a teacher, bringing work home night after night,” said Yanur Islam Piash, Monsha’s co-founder. “She was juggling admin work, planning lessons, supporting parents, and running on empty. That’s when I realized teachers need a better system—something that truly has their back.”
Built by Bangladeshi Founders for a Global Audience
The Monsha story begins in Bangladesh, where Piash and Adel studied engineering together at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). After graduation, their paths led to different ventures—until a shared vision brought them together again.
Piash previously built and scaled Bohubrihi, an edtech startup that was later acquihired by Shikho in 2021. He spent over two years on Shikho’s leadership team before starting Monsha in mid-2024. Adel, a seasoned AI and systems engineer, had worked with startups like Field Buzz, Intelligent Machines, and Optimizely. His experience building scalable software systems gave Monsha its technical foundation.
Monsha is now incorporated in the United States, but it remains deeply rooted in its Bangladeshi origin—a proud example of global ambition with local inspiration.
Real Impact for Teachers Worldwide
Even in its early stages, Monsha has already seen strong adoption. The platform is being used by more than 20,000 teachers across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and several emerging markets. Month-over-month, user growth is tracking at 40%—entirely organic.
Teachers describe Monsha not just as helpful, but essential. One shared, “I need something to help me get back to work. My normal burn and bust approach to teaching is not sustainable.” Another said, “I am entirely frustrated and a tad overwhelmed. Please… we need a one-stop shop!”
Despite decades of innovation in learning management and student information systems, teacher productivity remains under-served. Monsha is tackling this gap head-on, using large language models and advanced AI to create the first truly teacher-first edtech platform.
What’s Next for Monsha?
With fresh funding and the LAUNCH Accelerator behind us, we’re focused on expanding Monsha’s core capabilities. Our roadmap includes grading tools, deeper personalization features, collaboration options, and school-wide integrations.
We’re also exploring strategic partnerships with private and international schools, distribution channels for underserved regions, and preparing for our next investment round.
As we grow, our mission stays the same: give teachers back their time, their energy, and their joy. Because when educators thrive, so do students.
A Final Word
At its core, Monsha is a story about empathy, innovation, and the drive to solve a deeply human problem. It started with watching a loved one struggle—and turned into a commitment to reimagine what’s possible for 93.7 million teachers around the world.
We’re just getting started. And we’re building for the long haul.
To every teacher out there: we see you. We’re listening. And we’re building Monsha for you.
