In association with The Daily Star, the Marketing and International Business Club at North South University (NSU MIBC) organized Woodland Group presents Amelior 2022, co-sponsored by Brac Bank and Driven by Shuttle. The event was held from December 6th to December 7th.
The main focus of Amelior 2022 was on Marketing and International Business. The goal was to guide the inner drive of university students in the right direction, help them realize their full potential, and show them how to move forward in making their dreams come true. This season had five well-known speakers who are leaders in their fields and have proven themselves to be good at what they do.
On 6th December, the first session was conducted by Mr. Mohammad Al Kashem, Managing Director, COATS Bangladesh, on the topic of “International Business.” He focused on how to enter the international business sector and how developing skills is one of the key points in this regard. The second session, themed “Connecting The Dots in 2023,” was conducted by Mr. Ishraq Dhaly, Executive Director, Magnito Digital Bangladesh. His valuable session gave a vast deal of information regarding the psychological thoughts involved in the marketing sector and ways to use them to improve in the upcoming years.
On 7th December, the third session was conducted by Mr. Reyasat Chowdhury, Co-Founder & CEO of Shuttle, on “Marketing Research.” He shared his experience and journey of climbing up the marketing ladder and pointed out ways to be a successful entrepreneur as such himself. The fourth session was conducted by Ms. Mehruba Reza, Vice President, Head of Women Banking Segment TARA & Agami- Student Banking Service, Brac Bank, on “Bank Marketing.” Her discussion focused on equal employment opportunities for women in the banking sector. The fifth session on “Advertising Expanse” was directed by Mr. Mashfique Khalid, Co-Founder of Lie to Eye. He gave his valuable and informative thoughts on the advertisement and raised the topic of company advertising expenditures, which can help to stand out from the competition.
Alongside the guests who graced the sessions by being present at the event were Special Guest Professor Dr. Helal Ahammad, Dean, School of Business and Economics. Guests of Honor; Professor Mohammad Khasru Miah, Director of Career and Placement Center, North South University. Dr. Farzana Nahid, Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing and International Business, North South University. Dr. Shazzad Hosain, Director of NSU Startups Next. Ms. Afrida Mashnoon, Lecturer, Department of Marketing and International Business, NSU. Ms. Zarjina Tarana Khalil, Senior Lecturer of Marketing and International Business, NSU. The faculty advisor of the organizing club, Mr. Mahtab Muntazeri, Lecturer, Department of Marketing and International Business, was also present at the event and shared his ending remarks.
NSU MIBC’s Amelior 2022 season was yet another triumph. Aside from Amelior 2022, the club has organized several other successful regional and international events for the last three years. This event was a success due to the tireless efforts of the club members, the NSU Department of Marketing and International Business, and, most significantly, the sponsors and partners. Overall, Woodland Group presents Amelior 2022 facilitated students in gaining information that would undoubtedly help them achieve their goals in the following years.
