The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry is planning on establishing a trade center in Dubai to promote trade and investment with the UAE. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in this regard between the Bangladesh Business Council (BBC) of Dubai and the FBCCI on Friday in Dubai. The MoU was inked by the FBCCI’s president, Md Jashim Uddin, and the Founder President of BBC-Dubai, Mohamed Mahtabur Rahman.
In accordance with the agreement, BBC-Dubai will help in establishing an FBCCI trade center in Dubai. The FBCCI will coordinate and promote trade, investment, and commerce between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates. Aside from that, the FBCCI trade center aims to develop economic ties with other countries by using Dubai as a platform. Moreover, the center will assist investors from the UAE interested invest in Bangladesh in a variety of ways.
The signing event was attended by the FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin and the Founder President of BBC-Dubai Chairman of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam. The
FBCCI Senior Vice President Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Vice President Md Habib Ullah Dawn, Directors MGR Nasir Majumder, Mohammed Bazlur Rahman, and Md Nizam Uddin were also present at the event.
