Welcoming Spring with Tradition: NSU Social Services Club Hosts “Pitha Utsob 1432”

As the month of Falgun ushered in the warmth and vibrant colors of spring across Bangladesh, the campus of North South University transformed into a lively hub of celebration. To honor the timeless traditions of Bengali culture and share them with the younger generation, the North South University Social Services Club organized the much-anticipated Pitha Utsob 1432. Held on 17 February at the university playground, the event welcomed spring with culture, color, and heartfelt festivity.

A Celebration of Tradition

The event was graced by the presence of the Honorable Chairman of the NSU Board of Trustees, Aziz Al Kaiser, who attended as the chief guest. He praised the club for its meaningful initiative in preserving and promoting Bengali heritage on campus.

Throughout the grounds, the university came alive with stalls showcasing a delightful array of traditional Bengali pithas. Students, faculty members, and staff enthusiastically participated by preparing homemade delicacies using authentic ingredients. The aroma of freshly made pithas and the enthusiasm of the crowd created an atmosphere that truly captured the essence of Bangladesh.

Colors, Culture & Community

To enhance the festive ambience, the club decorated the premises with colorful elements inspired by rural Bengali aesthetics. The nostalgic setup, paired with joyful participation, highlighted the spirit of unity and cultural pride among the NSU community.
